We are sorry to announce that John Mason is unable to give his talk on Coram’s Fields Playground. Instead and at very short notice, John Cottrell offers this  illustrated talk on Regent's Canal Railway Schemes.

During the second half of the 19th century, there was a series of proposals either to replace the Regent’s Canal with a railway or to add railway lines alongside the canal. John Cottrell will describe four of these schemes and why they failed.

So that we don’t have a Regent’s Canal theme two months running, Lester Hillman is proposing to give a different talk on Thursday 18 April; so watch this space!
